[Request] Abbey Road, please? :D

Thread Starter
I've been trying to do this myself, but I absolutely fail at photoshop and can't do it

Could someone put the person in this picture: http://img163.imageshack.us/img163/3446/img0132w.jpg and put them in the center of either http://lh4.ggpht.com/-Lt8bCJAQNo0/SA...bbey_Road_.jpg or http://cache.gawker.com/assets/image...-AbbeyRoad.jpg

Please position the person in the middle and make the colors match throughout the picture. If you can't put him in the middle, he could be the first or last person. As much as possible, I'd like the person to be put into the ACTUAL Abbey Road album cover. If that's not possible, then could you add the four Beatles to first picture? Thanks in advance

BTW, this is actually a gift for someone

Well, I thought I'd play around with this since I'm just sitting around on my butt...

I messed up though, and didn't match the color close enough before I started...

So then I thought I'd see how it looked in B&W...

I'm also working on one with him walking into the frame from the right. That way I'm not offending Paul...

The toughest part is trying to get the shadows adjusted. Would've been easier if y'all had watched out for the direction of the sun.

Is this close to what you're looking for?

Those look awesome!

Also, for the shadows, I know some guys just duplicate the guy, lay him on the ground where his shadow is, then fill him in with black and drop the opacity to like 30%

You could try duplicating the guy, making a 3D postcard from the layer, then laying him down behind the real guy. Then, like I said, fill in with black and drop opacity to 30%.

I'm AMAZED! Looks fantastic! Could you match up the color if its not too much trouble? Is there a way to "age" or lower the quality of the photo of the person so it matches the picture quality of the album cover? Maybe that would make the picture match up better.

That would actually be even better than the first pic if you can do it

I've used this for shadows awhile back: http://www.techtut.com/Tutorial/Phot...Photoshop.html

THANKS! The current ones look great!! Oh, and can you attach the original image size?

@ Snelan:
Thanks...I've heard of the shadow technique you describe, but have never tried it. I don't really do a lot of heavy editing like that normally. I'll do some color and exposure correction for customers and that's about it. Photo-alterations take me too much time to be profitable...I only like playing with them for fun.

@ letspek:
I can work on it some more. I'm just having trouble matching the aged look with the fleshtones. I tried de-sat and reducing my color palate to 16bit, but it still needs work.

I'll have to have a go at it later today/tonight. My wife is trying to drag me out of the house to do some errands.

Oh, and the other one I'm working on, actually he's coming into frame from the left, not right...had a late night bout of dyslexia.

If I can get some decent results, I'll have you PM me your email and I'll send you bigger files.

Lost Hawaiian good work.. May i also suggest to make it even close is to work on the shade of the man. Lower his levels to make the shadow not so pure. With the guys you can tell that they do not have strong shadows, highlights, and tones. If you were to adjust this you will get it even better.

Thanks...

Actually, if you're referring to his ground shadow, that's the one from the original. I layered the new guy in, then erased to reveal the shadow from the original. I'm trying to do something with the shadows on his face though. I might have better luck pulling him out of the second image.

try changing your layer options to something like like burn and work on it with a very low eraser. make sure to layer and you will be able to nail it.
