and i tried booting with the mem ok button.

and the code 58 says cpu self test failed or possible cpu cache error

Reseat the CPU, check socket for any bent pins.

I was telling the OP not you so whether you care or not is not relevant. He is having trouble so making sure false statements that could effect his trouble shooting process get corrected is necessary though.

well i noticed that there might have been a bent 1 when i redid the cpu the first time, then once the cpu wouldnt boot up i decided to start from scratch and noticed it again and did some looking on the net that said do this or that to straighten so i did that and bam computer booted up

so your saying that a bent pin could be preventing this stick of ram from being read?

Yes, bent pins in the CPU socket cause problems, like RAM falling out of detection.

There should be a model number on the RAM stick that you can use to look up the recommended voltage.
RAM voltage is on the AI tweaker page you will need to scroll down to see it.

there were like 4 cables to work with and none of them said 12v on them but from the diagram on the psu i looked like the right 1

2 6+2
1 4+4
1 8 pin

i chose the 8 pin
