The pins are on the CPU damaging the socket is pretty unlikely so RMAing the mobo will most likely not help.

Get a magnifying glass then try to fix that bend pin again. This is how our RMA fix bend pins.

i chose the 8 pin
8pin and 24pin and you're good.

Carefully straighten the pins in the socket and reseat the CPU, make sure the board isn't flexing, make sure the heatsink isn't mounted with too much pressure. If it doesn't work probably RMA, but they usually deny on bent pin sockets.

On a sandy the pins are in the socket and CPU base is flat with contact pads.

well the recomended voltage is 1.5

the voltage was set to offset mode

and the dram voltage was set too 1.6

i changed the first to manual and set it to 1.5 and set the dram to 1.5

well so since i cant rma a mobo with bent pins and idk if i got the skill or patience to sit with a magnifying glass and straighten them

am i just screwed out of 200 bucks

I think Asus will replace your socket for a fee, like 20 bucks, plus shipping. Before you do that its worth taking some time to try and straighten the pins, or even just reseat the CPU, sometimes the pins are making weak contact with the pads.

Wait,

Who said you can't RMA a mobo for bent pins, I RMA'ed a motherboard that had bents before with asus and had no issues wtih it.
