I'm planning to get the 1GB HD 5770 / 6770 .. good one ?

Also, how about the FSP Saga II 400w / 500w ?

http://www.fsp-group.com.tw/english/...=176&proid=655
Both of them are very good cards,I've owned hd5770 before & I still miss it.
FSP Saga is not a decent psu.
Insted atleast get a Corsair cx430,avoid cooler master.

Thats a surprising opinion for the FSP.. been getting good opinions on that..

Anyways, the main reason for me upgrading the PSU is cuz.. ppl say the 22A of current on my Zebronics platinum series would not be enough for this new build..

The FSP is offering me 18A each on two 12v1+ = 36A.. that too at a good price of 52 USD

But the Corsair Builder Series CX430 V2 430W (CMPSU-430CXV2) is just offering me 28A on one 12v+ rail for close to 59 USD !

If you are looking to get this cheap as possible I would suggest a llano processor:

Cheap, and has graphics built in. Not the best of the best but not terribly bad either.

This. Even a cheap Llano build would have better performance than your old Athlon.

Still corsair cx430 is a better psu,it has a bit better capacitors than fsp saga, thus cx430 will last longer.

So, a 28A rail is enough for this build ? and i dont require 36 A ?

I hear ppl saying gaming PC's require atleast 40 A on the 12v+ rail ! So.. i thought 36A is atleast close to it !

Ya its enough,
you don't need 40amps on 12v rail unless you run high end cards like gtx560ti/hd6950 etc.
My psu(corsair gs600) has 48amps in its 12rail & its completely overkill for my setup.
Go with cx430,I ran a hd5770 on a cheap amigo 500w psu(18amps on 12v rail) with no problem.
Hope this helps you brother.

okay.. that's 1 down .. i'm going for CX 430V2 then..! (Although my current PSU is not that old.. its just over 10 months into use)

1 more to go to build the rig.. the brand of the GPU for HD 6770..

so much of difference in price comes in depending upon the brand. . why is this ?

Sapphire Radeon HD6770 1GB DDR5- USD 174
Asus Radeon HD6770 1GB DDR5 - USD 196
XFX Radeon HD6770 1GB DDR5 - USD 184

Although I am not a believer of the (more money = more quality) saying.., still such variations strike me ! how am I to decide which brand to go in for ?

How come Sapphire costs 10-20 USD less ? where's the catch ?!

Also, how is this brand "HIS" ? looks cool to me..
