Does this mean that I must opt for this C3 stepping model !? (wow.. how much of a research when buildin a pC !)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...C_Quad-core.29
The phenomII x4 955 c3 version tends to overclock better than c2 version.
Yes,cx430 is way more than enough for your setup,hd6770 is not at all a power hungry card,so cx430 has enough juice to power that card.
Reference design card means the companies(eg.msi, asus)using the same printed circuit board which has been designed by the original vendor( nvidia/amd)of the gpu, while non-reference card design means companies(eg.asus, msi) using a custom printed circuit board with some tweaks in the design(this pcb is different than the reference pcb)
most of the times non-reference cards overclock better.
Hope this brings a clear idea in your mind & I hope I was helpful.

Yes, you were very clear !
How do u compare the cx430 v2 with the FSP saga II 500 w?

Also, which one is better among the C3 revisions.. the 95w or the 125w one ?

Got one more prob here.. now the vendor says Asus M4A78LT-M / LE mobo has some issues with the Phenom II x4 955 be CPU.. (says he has had some customers where the PC wont boot n all that)
n is suggesting me to go for the Asus M4N68TM LE V2 motherboard instead..

Is this board suitable ?

The difference I see is this board supports only 1000MHz Hyper Transport (2000 MT/s) while the M4A78LT-M / LE supports 2600MHz Hyper Transport (5200 MT/s) ..

corsair uses better capacitors over FSP & will last longer,so I recommended the corsair psu.
Get the phenomII x4 955 95w version,
asus m4n68tm le v2 uses an inferior chipset(nvidia 630a/geforce7025) which sucks at overclocking, plus it has hyper transport 1.0 which will minimise the performence of a phenomII x4 955 by a little margin.
In one word asus m4a78tm le is a better mobo & you'll have no problems.
You can easily use this mobo too:
asus m4a88tm le
rs3800
its a great mobo,I just purchased this same mobo for a friend of mine last month.
She is running an athlonII x3 445 & 4gb corsair with this mobo.
Hope I was helpful all the way through.

asus m4a78lt-m le & asus m4n68tm le,these two mobo supports 95w cpu at maximum & may be the customers ran the 125w version of the phenomII cpu,so they faced problem.
This is why I asked you to go with the 95w version of the phenomII x4 955 so that you wont face problem.
If you manage the bit expensive asus m4a88tm le (rs3800) then get the 125w version of the phenomII x4 955 because the 125w cpu oc better.

have you considered the new llano chips ? they look very appealing to me for a person looking to do a budget build. my apologies if this was already covered.

hmm.. Its not the availability but the lack of dual-graphics ! If only I could effectively crossfire my discrete GPU with the AMD APU.. then I shall wait for it !

In the motherboard box manual its mentioned.
The 955 black edition is the 125w & has unlocked multiplier but there is also a regular version of phenomII 955 with a tdp of 95w
