Wow that's a lot for those HD 6770s. Stuff cost more there in India? Because on Newegg, the HD6850s cost less than what you posted.

I highly doubt asus m5a78l will be available in India,so I'm repeatedly asking you to go with asus m4a88tm le.
In case, the m5a78l is not available, believe the m5a76l le would be the next preference ? or do you meant to say m4a88tm le > m5a78l le?

As far as I compared.. the m5a78l le has support for am3+ / 4 DIMM slots / 3 PCI slot.. whereas the m4a88tm le does not support am3+ / 2 DIMM slots / 1 PCI slot..!
(lets leave the onboard graphics apart of course..)
These were listed under the graphics section for m4a88tm le, however not listed for the m5a78l le.

Quote:
Integrated ATI Radeon™ HD 4250 GPU
Multi-VGA output support : HDMI/DVI/RGB ports
- Supports HDMI with max. resolution 1920 x 1080 @ 60 Hz
- Supports DVI with max. resolution 2560 x 1600 @ 60 Hz
- Supports RGB with max. resolution 2048 x 1536 @ 85 Hz
Maximum shared memory of 1024 MB
Dual independent displays support with HDMI/DVI and D-Sub
Hardware Decode Acceleration for H.264, VC-1, and MPEG-2
Blu-ray playback support *1
Supports DirectX 10.1, OpenGL 2.0, Shader Model 4.1, Universal Video Decoder (UVD) 2.0
I believe all these would anyway go out of use if I use the 6770.. So, which is a better choice ?!

What will you do with am3+?
You are not buying a bulldozer fx cpu, plus m4a88tm le supports am3+ with an easy bios update.

Let me check out the prices, then..

By the way.. heard that 32-bit OS's support only a max.of 4GB ram. Is this inclusive / exclusive of the discrete GPU's memory ?
Will I be able to use 4gb of ram + 1gb 6770 on a 32-bit xp / windows 7 ?

In fact, in the motherboard specs it clearly says..

Quote:
Due to OS limitation, when installing total memory of 4GB capacity or more, Windows® 32-bit operation system may only recognize less than 3GB. Install a 64-bit Windows® OS when you want to install 4GB or more memory on the motherboard.
So, 4 gb is recognized as less than 3 gb????-> which means its best to just stop with 2gb for now ?
---

Also, when going in for a 4gb.. what is the difference between getting 2 of these sticks..

and this..

Dont mix graphics memory with ram memory, they are different,
ya,its true, for using 4gb you will need 64bit which is easily available everywhere.
Between those two ram the second one(xms3) is better because it uses better IC & has better oc potential.
However I recommend you to go with corsair vengeance/gskill ripjawsX ram.

I would still strongly suggest you hold till bulldozer or ivy bridge come in, and then upgrade.
I'm sure you can hold on.
