2 different displays?

Hello all,
I have my 580 hooked up to a 19" monitor. Can I also hook up an old 17" monitor I have, so as maybe to have a book open in it or something while I have my 19" for working?

Thx OCN!

YES you can! I have my 24" 1080p monitor as my main screen and my old 19" as a side screen for video chats while gaming or watching neflix while gaming. Works great. If your secondary screen is a widescreen you can also turn it in portrait mode for reading.

I'm interested in this. How will the other display work? I have one wide and the other one a regular (square) screen.

^This.
This is not a bug but is a hardware limitation. The card needs to run at a high performance mode in order to drive multi displays. So, even during idling or light load, the card will run at 3D clock speed.
The practical impact is that the card will run noticeably hotter during idle and light load.

And, one forward looking tip:-
If one of your 2 monitors keeps flickering (signal on and signal off), try setting one of the monitors (usually the secondary monitor) to a refresh rate of 59Hz (vs 60Hz). Click 'Apply' and this should fix this bug.
(Sometimes this fix is not memorized and has to be repeated in another startup.)

Well, temps aren't really that bad. The big disappointment for me is not being able to game on both monitors. Nvidia....... >

Basically one screen will be the main display, it shows ur toolbar and programs and when you game you game on that screen. The other screen is just an extension of your main screen so you can drag stuff to it such as website or videos or widgets. If you want to game on both screens I think they have to be the same resolution. Gaming on 2 monitors is not good for any game imo, you need at least 3 screens since you don't want to be staring at the bezel when you shoot someone, only game it could work with is strategy games imo.
