Problems with board posting properly

Hey Guys,

Having some problems, again.
I can't figure out why my computer won't post anymore with memory in certain slots, was working fine when I had aircooling, but couple of days ago switched to watercooling, now having tons of problems.

Have now taken everything out of the case, and have done numerous tests.
When it was working, memtest passed, and ran prime95 for 24 hours.

I have the following,
2600k
16gb ripjaw kit
Maximus IV Extreme p67

For some reason my computer won't post when I have memory on A1/A2
It only works on B1/B2

-Tried putting one stick in (tried every stick), but still won't boot unless its on slot (3) or (4), stick on slot (1) would give no memory read error, and (2) would give error code 53 on my Maximus board.

-Reads memory fine in slots (3)(4) for total of 8gb, but any other combination it doesn't (2)(4) or (1)(3) for dual channel. And it booted up with 3 sticks once but would read the first slot of the board as 0mb.

-Checked for bent pins, didn't see any.

-Removed/reapplied thermal compound

-Enabled XMP

-Tried another Graphics card

-Cleared CMOS

-Flashed both boards to the latest bios

So I figured that it was probably a bad board, so went ahead a picked up a Gigabyte Z68X-UD4, and having the exact same problems as above, it would only read memory on the (3)(4) slots, and everything else would give me a boot cycle.

Does anyone have any advice? I've never had problems like this before, so this is so frustrating.

Have you tried replacing the RAM, you could have defective sticks.

Yea thinking about picking some corsair vengeance tomorrow, anyone with either a maximus, or z68 ud4 have any luck with this ram?

The thing that worries me is that individually none of the sticks would work on the first/second slot, would that be a sign of bad ram? but wouldn't atleast one stick have worked out of four?

Also being that memory controller is directly related to CPU, could I have a bad cpu? I cleaned the cpu off a few times with the same problem, is there a way to clean the bottom of the cpu without damaging it?

Can't figure this one out, just purchased some corsair vengeance memory, and still have the same issues.
