I would a. Drop the HDD in favor of a Samsung F2 as it will be ~ $20 cheaper (or you can get a 1TB for the same price as your 500GB) b. Go with a 6870 or 6950 1GB as they will both perform about the same for the price c. Go with a 500 - 550W PSU, even though its good wattage for the price, you're still over paying for something that you'll never use (i.e. buying a shirt because its on sale, but never wearing it, a waste of money)

If you have a true solid budget, every $$ counts and dropping those should get you under budget with good performance - otherwise keep what you have if you don't have a true solid budget, though you won't need a 750w even if you were to go SLI 560's or 570's.

This looks like a really good build, but you should use one 4GB stick instead of two 2GB sticks, because I saw single 4GB sticks are much cheaper.

Also, is there windows in there?

Somones probably gonna say it sooner or later so I'll say it.

Swap the WD Black for a 1TB spinpoint F3. It's about the same price for more space and supposedly faster drive. (I don't have any evidence, but I trust the members of the forum when they tell me whats better and whats not)

*EDIT, wow I got ninja'd

Other than that, a Heatsink? Hyper 212+ is a good starter.

Swap the motherboard with that.

Why are you using low profile memory?

+1 on the Hyper 212+

Good build. I would cut the cost of the power supply to A. get him more storage B. get him a heatsink. He's gonna love it.

Ok, a 6850 does not have the same performance as a 560ti, and look, its my case. If you are going with a full ATX board, get a full tower, this case has barely enough room for my m-atx and a gts450... Go with an NZXT still, i think they are amazing cases, but get a phantom or something along those lines. Mid tower would be too small IMO. Also, go with the hyper 212 for cooling. Still one of the best coolers out there.

-edit- To appleg33k85's post. 6950s cost about 50$ more, for the same, or worse performance. Stick with the 560 ti, it will serve you well.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835103065

That's a pretty good build for the price !! But if i were u, i would get a cheaper/lower voltage PSU (Unless you're going to SLI/CF in the future) & a better case say the HAF 912

thanks for the replies, but im just going to get the mobo that i picked out just because i use it, its great, heard lots of good things about it, lots of reviews, nuff said. its just a peace of mind type of thing. as for the video card, im sorry but this 560ti is cheaper than any good 6950 and alot of you are wrong, a 6870 does not perform thae same as a 560. i know this beacause i own one. he is a noob so he is stuck on that case but thats ok because i like it i will take into consideration the hdd and psu though. but i like getting super quaility so idk i like the price range. and i rushed the screenie so i guess you cant see, it got cut off for a cooler i am getting him a scythe mugen 3.

Thanks for all the replies!
