I'm looking for a camera or camcorder which shoots video at 720p (preferably 1080p as well) and preferably MP4 format since I will be using it to upload videos to Youtube. I rarely take pictures, but if it is a Camcorder I would prefer if it takes at least decent pictures. This camcorder/camera will be used 95% of the time indoors with strong lighting.
My budget is $250. I am willing to go like $5 over if something nice pops up.
So far I have these in mind:
My dad has this camera and I have used its video feature several times and I really love it. The only problem I have is that it takes 7 seconds to fully zoom in (optical zoom).
Nikon Coolpix S8100:
The reviews are nice and this camera also shoots 1080p video, but I have never seen it IRL before. Still, it looks like a decent camera and the specs are extremely similar to the HX5V
Looks extremely cool and is very lightweight. Videos I have seen on Youtube make this camera really stand out. Zooms in pretty fast too. I have no idea what the stills look like though.
Are any of these good options, and what else would you guys recommend?
