because the two have different lease times.
DLM (Dynamic Line Management) will stabilize the line if there is something wrong. If I understand it wrong and the OP is not receiving a new IP from his ISP and its a internal problem then ignore it

It could seem like its an issue with contacting your DNS servers.

A possible fix for this is to manually assign what DNS servers your computer will use. For instance you can use Googles public DNS servers (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4).

If you need help to do this, say so and I will show you

it looks like the modem has an incorrect config file from the modem log. But i am guessing that URL Dns.msftncsi.com is not able to respond to a dns request. What is msftncsi? and the DHCP times look a little wacky. Its not supposed to have ????? for the date or time.

Thats a lot of problems lol

btw xxxxx out your physical address thats your MAC and you don't want anyone else to know it

Found an interesting thread about seemingly the same problem you have:

http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/21...stantly-timing

There it turned out to be a problem on the ISP side for a couple people. Maybe this applies here as well?

Edit: That would explain the bugged lease timers as well!

Set you lease to weekly instead of hourly/daily so your router wont have to work as much!

I would say to change the lease time to at least 24 hours. Renewing your WAN IP address will cause a disconnect in games. As far as many disconnects during Torrenting, i think some ISPs do that to anyone with dynamic isp's that they detect torrenting on, for 3 reasons:
1. It inconveniences the customer, to deter them from doing it.
2. forcing an address renewal stops the data stream, freeing up bandwidth for other users
3. It makes it harder for the recording industries to track Torrent data. (they don't care if you're pirating or not. if you're torrenting there is a sure bet that someone is trying to look at your data stream)

Most modems should have a setting to Force using a Static IP address, so you may also look into checking that.
