Help with overclocking and other misc. questions!

I have an amd 1055t(which is currently overclocked to 3.5ghz) using 1.375 volts, northbridge is at ~2200mhz. I tried bumping up voltages till 1.4 volts for overclocking the system at 3.6ghz and also bumped up northbridge by .25 volts. But as soon as i stress it it bsods.
I cant go more than 3.5ghz no matter what i do. Earlier i had 965be and overclocked it till 3.9ghz.
Now i want to overclock from scratch, and i need help in what settings to do(since i a newbie in this). What are the best settings for acheiving 3.7 ghz on air(using cm hyper 212+ with push and pull config) I have no idea about ram timings, so not touching it. The average temperature here is around 30c, so it does get pretty hot sometimes.
And also how much watts is consumed when the system is overclocked?
Need serious help here.Any tutorials for overclocking are welcomed

Best way to see how much power is used is use a monitor between the PSU and the wall plug IMO, I wouldn't really know how to add it all up.

Secondly, have you compared the temps between push/pull and just push? I hear that cooler doesn't get a good benefit from having push/pull, and you may be better using that second fan to feed cool air from somewhere else in the case

I'll try and find a guide for you

Edit: Have a read through this matey, and welcome to overclock.net

You went from a great 9xx BE to a great NON-BE 10xx. I had a 1055 for about two weeks. No complaints, but it just won't OC for the serious Enthusiast. Since I've had the 1090 BE, I've had soooooo much fun! It only costs about 30-40 USD more than the 1055.

If you really want to "bend" the rules, the 1090 (or 1100) BE is the way to go.

Go AMD!!! (and if you have an nforce 980a SLI mobo, you won't even need the new bulldozer!!!

Maybe not a solution, but as a former 1055 owner, I feel your pain!

You need the bus clock to be at 286-300Mhz and the RAM multiplier should be lowered to around x5.33 to run 1600Mhz. RAM timings need to be set to CAS9 - tRCD 9 - tRP 9 - tRAS 24 - tRC 33 - Command rate 2T (or 1T if stable). Lower the CPU multiplier to whatever you are at right now then just increase multi/stability test/add voltage to continue on. 1055Ts can actually OC fairly well (i.e. it's not impossible), it just has to be done properly and with the right board and RAM.

I can help you further perhaps since I am still running my 1055T on a GA-MA790XT-UD4P (M4A89TD still not here)

Do you recommend a "normal" fsb of 283+? I've "heard" that it wears out certain I/O sections of the CPU.

Yes, no, maybe?

@jcfsusmc-I am into animation and i am learning adobe premiere and after effects currently. So 2 cores did help me! And 965be was a good chip, i managed to overclock it till 3.9ghz(was stable). I am thinking to buy bulldozer + new motherboard if bulldozer is worth it. Otherwise i might just upgrade my gpu.
And one more question, my pc is on almost all the time like 6 days in a week, so does it cause any problem in the long run?

@ SgtMunky- The push pull config did help me by lowering temp(esp load temps) by 3-4c. Idle it was just about 1-2c cooler. Since amd has max temp of 62c(earlier on hyper 212+ with one fan, the load temp was near 59-60c, but now it stays at 54-55c range.) Also i have noticed that hw monitor gives wrong temp atleast by 8c, whereas on easytune 6 i can see the real temp(which is provided by gigabyte.)

@xd_1771- Does playing with memory cause any serious damage?
And also i will post my ram's model no. tomorrow, i regret buying it though since its single channel ram[when i purchased it i had no idea about these things and i was not that active on ocn! ]
Its kingston hyperx single channel 2 gb ram.If i had money i would change it(though i dont know how much performance is lost due to it, can you tell me how much performance am i losing?)

hey guys the dust in my pc is just too much! By seeing it i dont feel like touching it at all! I have haf 922, is there anyway to reduce the amount of dust that gets in the pc? I am allergic to dust so have to clean it carefull(i cleaned my system 2months ago) and its takes too much time to clean it since i have to unplug all the things, then clean it and reassemble it! The cpu heatsink is choked with dust from all sides! Any ideas or mods for haf 922? (P.S=we dont get compressd air cans here, so have to clean it cloth! )
