Aftermarket LED 120mm fans for Corsair H100

Thread Starter
Hey guys,

I ordered my H100 on back order the other day. When it arrives, I want to swap the stock 120mm fans with some red LED fans. Which would be the best 120mm fans to use? I will be doing pull only, as my case - Corsair Graphite 600T White - only has room for 2 fans outside the case, with the radiator on the inside.

Thanks in advance!

coolermaster r4s are pretty nice. they run up to 2000 rpm but they make more of a whooshing sound. if you know where to look they can be had dirt cheap for about $4.95.

Just on a sidenote, are you replacing them solely for the purpose of the LEDs and cosmetics, or are you suspecting their stock fans won't be up to the job ?

*If* it is more of the second reason ontop of the first one, the stock fans are amazing performers with extremely good static pressure for push pull and stuff - you shouldn't need to replace them at all (they even beat the Scythe 1850 GTs).

They suck. The R4s. But they look cool.

They really aren't bad rad fans, I mean they're decent but the Corsair stock fans or AP-15s will perform much better.

How do you know? Have you tested them or did you just believe everything Corsair George said?

Plus, GT AP-15 is 1850rpm, the fans on the H100 ramps up to 2700rpm. At that speed, they better beat the Typhoons.

They are purely for cosmetic upgrade. But seeing as the stock fans are receiving such rave reviews, I may just leave them and change other chassis fans to LED fans. Also going with a few cold cathodes so there should be enough lighting.

Thanks for the input guys.
