Also they need to sell alot of product not jack up prices and sell less product.
They are gonna try to dominate the market. when that happens then they jack there prices to compete.
Exactly what AMD needs to do,but wouldn't they lose sales once prices get jacked up ?

And this isn't the first time either

This is an aggressive plan to get most of the market share they lost before 2006 back
It's a great strategy for AMD,but I don't think they'll gain back the market share they lost once Intel sees what AMD is doing. Intel could cut the prices and still be ahead.

2.) Um, where did that come from?
The 32nm process will give them higher yields, however we don't know what kind of yields BD has yet. Do you mean the original $300 MSRP of the 1090T,or the current reduced price of $180?
AMD has priced their processors in terms of performance for a while in order to stay competitive.
For instance,if the MSRP of the 1090T would have stayed the same, there would be very few being sold.
Since the FX is selling for around $300,you could assume SB-E will be faster.

the price for our help 20 free zambezi cpu
we can all dream right
Intel could release a 4Ghz stock SB whenever they wanted to.
Hahaha,I'd at least want a free AMD hat/t-shirt.

If AMD has a CPU that can compete with Intel's Next Generation best, then they will price it where Intel's next generation best will not look so appetizing. It's very simple this is how monopolistic competition works. AMD is a Chip maker that can and will try at all costs to gain market share while maximizing future profits.

The original MSRP.

A new game is being played and AMD has stacked their cards already

No, I couldn't assume AMD FX has several things that increase performance significantly
(I expect a 50% more powerful chip and a 350% increase in performance from my current chip in my current workloads and remember I am a software guy, I know what I need to maximize performance)

With that said, you have to remember that AMD is in no position to start a price war. Intel is by far the larger company with much more resources at their disposal. For example, if they wanted to, they could introduce a 4.2 GHz Sandy Bridge tomorrow and sell it at the same price as the 2500K, since almost all 2500Ks will reach 4.2 GHz with ease.

There's a famous saying in the business world: "He who lives by price dies by price."

you speculate too much ... who are you to know if intel could release a 4.2ghz stock sandy tomorow???

And i'l reiterate it.. What data do you have that shows you Amd will beat Intel? From what i get from you is that your trying to convince us amd is going to drop this magical chip in our laps that is going to destroy Sandy Bridge and SB-E. There has been nothing released ES chip or not that shows the performance of BD being amazing and it knocking off Intel.

Now i'll gladly eat crow if BD comes out and beats up a 2600K but it has no chance against the 6 core SB-E's.
