When the enthusiast SB-E and the later IB platforms come out, Bulldozer will be relegated to the second-place/budget market because SB-E and IB will be out on the market at the same time as BD.

Remember Phenom II? It came out over 2 years after Intel's 2006 Core 2 architecture and only managed to be competitive with Core 2, not the later Nehalem or Westmere.
Not sure why my post got deleted, but SB-E will be of course more expensive because it is a EE chip, and will be out early 2012. IB isn't expected until mid 2012 at the earliest. BD? Most likely September 2011,with the higher clocked top of the line FX to follow in very early 2012 if the source is correct. By the time IB is out AMD will most likely have a refresh of Bulldozer FX out to compete.
In useless benchmarks PHII is slower however in gaming there is no noticeable difference between a Phenom II and a Core i5. Besides, you cannot base FX performance on a PHII,it's apples to oranges. Comparing Intel vs. AMD in IPC,clock for clock, and core for core is also completely different. FX is a whole new processor design. No one knows how well FX performs but AMD,motherboard manufacturers, and a few sources that cannot tell anything until NDA is lifted.

Desktop performance can be somewhat calculated because the server core is based on the same core.

It isn't. Speculation based on rumors as usual from WCCF.
