Can't Get Temp Readings, Even after New Windows7

Yea, and this Mobo's pretty new too. . . About 2 weeks if its lucky, seen maybe 1 week of me trying to get RAM which fit, leaving it disabled without RAM

What am I to do? I have working Temp readings in BIOS, but outside of bios all I can get is a socket temp reading. . . And as I have said, me windows is as fresh as can be. . . I have even reflashed BIOS from gigabyte. . .

I am at a loss here, don't know what to do, maybe RMA motherboard? Everything worked so well with my weaker 990XA-UD3, then a few days into having this 990FXA-UD5 temp sensor stops showing up in programs.. ..

Help me fix this issue so I can get back to trying to find a stable 4.3Ghz for this Phenom

sounds like something went bad. i would RMA.
Can you see temps from inside the bios?

I know of three other people in other forums that have had temp sensor issues on the same board. All have RMA'ed at least once only to get another that has the same issues. Beta bios' were provided to try to correct the problem also, to no avail, so I would say Gigabyte knows there's an issue. One is living with it, the other two have returned the board and bought another brand. It would seem there is a problem with the UD5's.

Is there any validity to this accusation? If so I will be RMA'ing this board and going with something along the lines of Sabertooth perhaps. . .

All I know is I went with this board over other brands because I hear a lot of quality control issues with MSI/ASUS motherboards... But Sabertooths have nice reps lately.

Is there anyone else who is having this issue? I would really Like to find out some more about this issue, so I can decide if I wish to RMA this UD5 *(I have grown to like its color scheme. . )* I will have to go with Sabertooth, perhaps Crosshair V

What program are you using to monitor temps? Try SpeedFan, HWMonitor, CoreTemp/RealTemp, AIDA64 etc

Been there, tried that, I have removed every driver/program on my computer and reinstalled. Nothing. I even formatted my C:\\ before reinstalling windows 7 by disc. According to some research and googling I found out its common for temp sensors to fail on the new Gigabyte 990 chipset, even others who have RMA'd for a replacement had temp sensors fail again a month later on new board.

I appreciate all information and assistance given to this issue, but it is now resolved via purchase of a ASUS Crosshair V
