Hope this is the right forum for this

but i was given a pair of tritton ax360's and im not sure how good they are...ive hooked them up but im no audiophile so they kinda sound like my other headphones

so how good are they? would you consider them better than razer carcharias? are they worth anything if i were to sell them?

i was only given the headphones, mic and connectors....no little amp box or whatever that little blue box is...how much is missing that little box hurting their performance?

here is what they look like

It's a "real" surround headset, meaning it's pretty garbage for any music and any games. For free, just try it out and see if it's enough. There are definitely much better options out there. I'd see what it's running for on eBay and sell it.

AX360s are poopy. A decent pair of headphones armed with X-Fi CMSS tech will give significantly better sound positioning.

I had the AX720 and despite it being a gaming headset the sound quality and soundstage were fantastic. Sucked really bad for music though.

It doesn't really have a soundstage in the traditional sense, it has tiny drivers stuffed into each ear. The positioning is honestly mediocre compared to stereo or virtual surround with good soundstage. Not only that, but since there are so many drivers, they're cheaper, smaller, and overall worse quality than the price might suggest.
