I think intel was quoted on saying SB-E will have up to 48gb/s of memory bandwidth. With regular SB i get 24 so its a hell of a difference

It's a shame its useless in gaming frown.gif Not to mention Intel's theoretical bandwidth has never really matched the capable bandwidth of their platforms... Usually they aim higher than what its actually capable of lol.

if I had too, I could get a Z68 just to be safer/more likely to be future proof for IB

Though the board would support IB, by the time the new chips come out better boards will be available for the same price. PCI Express 3.0 should also be coming with IB so that is something you would be missing out on.

If you need the extra power now... then buy something now. If you can wait for the next big thing then wait. Either way you should be happy with your purchase. smile.gif
