MSI GTX570 OC help

Thread Starter
So i had to RMA my standard MSI GTX 570 as the capacitors were making an intorerable buzzing noise.
They sent me a replacement, being the OC version (M2D12D5/OC)
First thing i noticed was that the buzzing was gone, great!
But then it crashed a few times and didnt overclock half as well as my previous card. So i rumbled through forums and found that its basically an unstable factory overclock.
I have since updated the bios throught MSI Live Update and hopefully thats done the trick with the crashing, time will tell.
I currently have MSI Afterburner running various profiles, including the non OC version clocks and voltage (very stable at this).
Also noticed that its much hotter, at stock settings hitting mid 80c's.
Im not sure if this i as the fan profile on these OC versions are also different, but is mid 80's not a bit hot? Why do they let it go that hot!

So anyone with this card wish to share experiences, how you got round instability? Can i hard code this card back to non OC clocks?

Thanks

I have the exact same card and I have no stability or temperature issues. Simply set up a custom fan profile and the temps should be all right. Regarding the unstabily, adding a little bit of voltage through MSI Afterburner should do the trick.
