My 965 doesnt want to overclock

Thread Starter
Black editions can over clock by raising the multiplier? Thats a big lie. I cant get my OC to stay stable at 18.5. Ive tried many combos of raising FSB and lower multipliers. Ive lowered my ram speed. Raised voltage which doesn't work but I shouldn't need to at 3.7 GHz anyways. I haven't touched NB or HT yet and I don't know what to set those at anyways.

And what about multiplier and FSB? My goal is at least 3.8 GHz if not 4.0.

It not the NB. when you oc usually you keep NB and HT @2000, unless you want to oc NB 2 but that's something different then the problem you are having right now

try reset everything on your motherboard, then either you can oc by multiplier or FSB remember FSB x multiplier = your speed

and with volts i don't think you have to touch it but for now try to keep it 1.425v not auto because sometimes it goes too high then you really need

Just saying you may already no this, but my PC is much more faster after i increase NB speed, CPU doesn't make a difference, except in game.
