What value does my Asus G73SW-A1 hold?

Thread Starter
I've been attempting to sell this laptop for a while now, but whenever I get an offer it's usually rather low in my opinion.

For those of you too lazy to google the laptop, here's the newegg page.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...7&Tpk=g73sw-a1

I've had it for about 2 months now. It's in excellent condition and wasn't used much. I felt a need to buy a laptop, when I realized that I don't take it anywhere because where I live there's no wifi. =P

I took a couple pictures with my POS camera, here they are on my photobucket:

So, how much would you guys say this is worth? The warranty for accidental damage was upgraded to 2 years rather than just 1 year.

Thanks all for your replies!

All the offers that I got so far ranged from $450 to $900. No one is willing to go higher than $900. lol

I'm having trouble selling it here on the forums for $1150!!! D;

Personally, I was thinking more along the lines of $1,000. It's a very nice laptop, but comparable machines can be found around that price range used.

At newegg, the very same laptop with a 500GB instead of a 1TB and standard dvd drive can be had for under $1200 brand new.

Warranty adds a little bit to it, especially since it's accidental damage and was most likely around 200-300 itself. I'd lean closer to 1600 shipped though as long as the battery has no issues (shouldn't) and the AC comes with.

@ OP: Was this purchased from the Newegg link you posted and it has the same specs? If you customized any part of it that could up the value.
And is the warranty from ASUS itself or another location, i.e. Newegg or a reseller?

1,200 shipped tops.

The average buyer won't know the difference between the A1 and the other models unless you explain directly lol

It is not easy to sell a laptop on forum. I would suggest to sell it on ebay.

I say around the 1000 shipped mark on OCN, a little more if sold on eBay . I sold my G51JX-X2 (older gen i7 + 15.6" screen) for 680 even though I bought it new for 1300 a year ago. Laptops drop in value VERY fast.
