the price is inflated because the chip is valuable to people on 775 systems who want to upgrade; but just not the whole system.

q9550 $200 on ebay
ud3p should easily fetch $125

Sorry I didn't post earlier, I was away from my computer. It's certainly inflated in price. I remember getting that kit for $45 shipped...

I'm really glad to see my Q9550 and UD3P have retained their value. I guess I made the right call when I built this rig a few summers ago.
