Upgrading my box

I am looking for a new better quality box for my system. I have 3 brands picked out and I wonder how they stack up? I have the NZXT Phantom series, Cooler Master HAF series, and Corsair's Graphite series. Anyone who has used these want to comment? Is there anything I should think about before buying one of any of them?

It really depends on what you're looking for in a case. All three of the one's you mentioned are great in their own way. Another case I would throw in is the silverstone rv02, amazing airflow. Tell us exactly what you're looking for in a case and maybe we can give you a more detailed answer as to which one you should buy

Hmm well the only thing that I can think of that I need to be mindful of is the bottom mounted psu in each of them, my current case is top mounted and I need to make sure all power connectors will reach their destination. As far as what I want, from what I have seen in each of the groups on the forum for each case all of them cover it. As a side note I am also thinking about moding my good ol' elite 310 and just keeping it.

i can only speak of the cm haf -- excellent cases. i use it on most of the computers that i build because of its very good airflow. if you dont mind rugged looks, you can never go wrong with haf.

Thanks, I am partial to CM products, I have used their cases and cooling products on every one of my builds, but I am always open to try new products. The issue I have right now is the bottom mounted PSU, I have always used top mounted, mainly because when I began building rigs bottom mounted cases were very hard to come by and I just got used to using top mounted cases. My pc is a budget build machine for coding and software authoring so I don't exactly have the top of the line psu's other use. I have an Antec Basiq series in my rig and I am certain I can make it work bottom mounted but I am still hesitant to pull the trigger on this one....

I just bought the Phantom. Setup was simple. I like the way it looks but I have a few complaints. I think it was lame to only make one of the 4 fans have leds. Just seems out of place. The fan controller seems pretty crappy. The leds on the fan controller don't work and they don't seem to have much control over the fans. I moved from a huge ThermalTake Mozart Tx and thought this case was supposed to have good air flow. So far my temps of everything have increased a lot. I don't know if that is the way I have the fans arranged or what, but I am a bit disappointed. The case doors are kinda hard to get on and off. Originally I had wanted the Corsair 600t, and by looking at them both side to side, I think the Corsair is much better built. I can't say about the cooling, but construction wise I think the Corsair is superior. I am going to fool around with the fan arrangement a bit more and if it doesn't fix it I am going to return the case and buy something different.

Again YMMV, and I am no expert. These are just my experiences.

One other thing, the side of the case where you would hide your wires is very narrow compared to the Corsair.

With the HAF 932 you can top mount the PSU as well, the corsair series tend to be more of a watercooling case.

Thanks I never knew that, and thanks Ihasfip for the info on the Phantom, for now though I decided to mod my Elite 310. Its a budget case but I like it and after 3 hours today Its moded and my wires are concealed and It will be painted Siberian-camo soon. After practicing my mods with this case I plan to upgrade to one of the HAF series, most likely when I get a new ATI card that wont fit in this one though...
