6950 crossfire question

Thread Starter
Friend has a single 6950(one of the older ones which I can't really find - which is why I'm asking) and wants a second one. If he were to get a newer model of a 6950 and ran it with the older model in crossfire, would this cause any issues or would it be okay?

Only Concern is mixing 1gb and 2gb models, and unlocked and non-unlocked models.

If you mix any of these the Lowest of the 2, say 1Gb will be used. So 2Gb across bother cards instead of 4gb, or 1408*2 vs 15XX*2 (from my understanding.)

Tho they will work just not as nicely as it could be.
