Anyone here refuse to buy XFX?

Thread Starter
I will be GSA (general Sales Associate) at my local microcenter and we sell XFX products. From all the crap I have heard, I refuse to even sell anything XFX and have boycotted by not buying anything XFX, even their PSUs because of their horrible, sorry excuse for customer service and RMA department.

What about you guys?

I never have liked XFX, but hey, you gotta make money right?

I thought XFX was one of the better GPU/PSU manufacturers out there. Apparently not though, some links please.

There PSU's are their only good product, but you said it yourself, there horrendous RMA department and customer service is even harder to deal with than ASUS.

MSI, Gigabyte, and EVGA are the best computer companies for customers and amazing products.

As much as I hate to say it, Apple is amazing too, replaced me iPhone 4 for free 8 times in the last year because of problems (I never dropped it )

You see that 8800 you have, with XFX you would get a RMA in about 2 years if they let you qualify.

Assuming that card is still under warranty, if it broke and you called MSI or EVGA, then would give you a NEW GTX 560 or a GTX 570.

XFX would kick you on the curb telling you, their 'lifetime' warrenty only applies when blablablabla.

their non reference GPU's are basically crap and their customer service can really be a kick in the ass.

I'm not sure why you hate them but their customer service was really good in my opinion. The support guy spoke perfect english and seemed to be a computer enthusiast. They were pretty helpful.

I actively avoid XFX. After the HD4890 fiasco, I decided to not support them. Now it seems everything of theirs uses custom designs with cheaper components and less functionality (for instance, voltage control). It may be harsh, but so be it.

Damn I didn't know that about XFX. I have never personally owned one of their products but I guess it is probably a good thing. Will stick to my usual brands, thanks for the info.
