I've had my Mamba for a year and a half... the only issue I had with it was when my roommate spilled a drink all over it and it would stop tracking. I dropped it in a bag of white rice for a day and it was better again.

Battery life isn't amazing, but it's not terrible. I just drop it on the charging base when I am done with it. I can easily get through 6+ hours of constant gaming (Witcher II) on a charge and that's as demanding as I am going to get with a mouse.
I don't run the software for it, I just loaded it, set my DPI settings (I use 3 settings, 1900x1050, 3850x2150, and 5000x5000. You never need to run software in the background again.

Just turn off the light Honestly, I don't get bothered by it, since my hand covers it when I use it

What's wrong with the optical sensor on the Deathadder? I have never had any kind of tracking problems with the sensor (1st gen Deathadder here)

Is the only thing missing on the Imperator compared to the Mamba the wireless part? Still 1ms response time?

What do you think about the Blackwidow?
this is my opinion but coreded mice > wireless mice.
response time is INSTANT. no lag whatsoever. also deathadder is better than mamba because:
corded
cheaper
no lame phillips twin eye sensor
perfect amount of DPI
comfertable
reliable.

old Mamba is like a M16A1, Deathadder 3G is like an AK74M
reliabilty comes first

idk about imperator yet. i dont have it yet

blackwidow has great reviews. trust me its worth it . miles better than my 8 year old dell quietkey

Just a question to everyone having problems with their cursor jumping randomly; is the surface you're using your mouse on clean? I think a dirty mousepad or desk may cause problems.

I don't know about that. I can bet you my Filco Majestouch Black Tenkeyless (aka Filco Majestouch Ninja Tenkeyless Japanese Edition) is better than that. No cheap build quality problems!

I don't remember myself getting on the Razer hate bandwagon for mice...no wait, that was Logitech. I hated Razer after they started using the Philips Twin Eye sensors. If I ever own a Razer mouse, it'll probably be the deathadder. Long live Logitech and Mionix!!!!!!

You silly high DPI gamers...

Oh, and my G700 is really no different in terms of response time to my Deathadder, in wired or wireless modes.

This is my mouse, by Logitech and it released some time in 2007/2008 (haha) Logitech MediaPlay Cordless Mouse

here is the black one (11 buttons)

It uses 2xAA batteries and typically lasts me 4 weeks + on one set of rechargeable high capacity batteries

I use it without the logitech software because It works in windows 7 just fine without any add on software ZING (I would never use the razor software) and I have been rocking this since 2008!
