Help installing H80

Hey OCN
I've been lurking here for quite some time and a question popped up in my head so I decided to register. smile.gif
So I have an AM3+ mobo (Sabertooth 990FX) and am looking to cool it with a Corsair H80. Is there any install guide on how to do this? I've read that the manual it comes with is very unclear and I am really inexperienced when it comes to water cooling, even closed loop. Can anyone help me out here? Thanks,

Which part of the guide is confusing you? I have an i5 so I used the Intel guide provided with the H80 (a little different from the AMD install). There's basically two parts to the install...

1. the CPU block/backplate
2. the fans/radiator

The block/backplate if I understand correctly is done like this:
Install backplate on back of mobo
Install CPU
Install block
Then... I install one fan on the back of the case, then the rad, then another fan (push/push is better for my case)....
I plug both fans into the rad and plug the rad into the PSU and mobo CPU fan connector.
Is that right?

Seems about right. It can be a tough install if you're doing it alone...a couple steps (mainly getting the fans/rad all attached and mounted) are a pain with only two hands tongue.gif but its definitely doable. For the fans, you've gotta kinda hold one of the fans and the rad together against the back of your case so you can screw 'em in - and then you install the second fan on the other side of the rad when its secure.

I know the AMD install had those two metal brackets too, which were unused for my Intel install.
