Here's an Asus one:

Basically, if you want all the latest features such as USB 3.0 and SATA 6GB/s, you're going to have spend a lot, since those were considered new technology last year, and weren't as readily available on all of the mainstream and budget boards than the ones which can be found today.

If you are thinking of upgrading your CPU shortly, you may as well not OC and save the funds for sandy bridge imo smile.gif Not only will you still be able to get support for ivy bridge and sandy bridge extreme, but it also means your board will have all of those features for a cheap price.

Are you saying that Ivy bridge will be using the same socket as sandy bridge? It's still quite expensive and I wouldn't have a clue if someone would buy this few months old not OC'd/not touched i5 660 (it performs great, even at stock, 3.46GHz with stock BCLK and turbo boost on). I might consider this if it's been confirmed that I would be able to use the sandy bridge socket for later CPU's in the future, not just the Ivy bridge.

I wasn't planning on getting a new CPU though, sounds like a bigger money waste than just buying a new board. I'm just trying to get the hang of this hobby, I love to build a PC myself and I'll mod things in the case, start sleeving cables etc.. This is my first rig and first rigs are never perfect, they are the milestone you need to cross before being able of building the big stuff yessir.gif

PS: my system will probably run hotter on a sandy bridge CPU, because of its stock frequency being lower than the i5 660, thus needing more effort in getting it to 4GHz and higher. Correct me if I'm wrong, it's just a thought (I think everything through tongue.gif)

The MSI fits my needs perfectly and thanks for sending one with a lower price! though I'm not sure if that site ships to belgium...
a small remark: Scan.co.uk says no SLI, the official MSI site says it's SLI compatible here. The fact that I saw it wasn't compatible with SLI on Scan almost got me cracked up kookoo.gif... wanted to be sure that I didn't misread anything from the MSI site, I guess I didn't smile.gif.
