If Steam in C: are all Steam Games in C: as well?

Hey everyone,
So... I am planning on maybe getting an SSD soon. I would like to install some of my favourite programs and games on it as well. Now, I get some of my Games from Steam (as in Download).
Is it possible to put my Steam application itself on one Hard Drive or Partition, let's say E:, but put 1 or 2 of the downloaded games into another, let's say C:?
I mean if the download allows it I would just download them straight into the C: Drive when Steam is on the E: Drive. It would be great if this was possible,
Thanks in advance,
Marius

As far as I know, it's impossible to have steam games installed anywhere else than Steam folder. Unless there is some tweak you can do yourself, no.

What you should do is install Steam to another drive, then use Steam Mover to move over the games you want to your SSD.

I personally just create junctions manually, but Steam Mover is simpler for novices.

That is exactly what I was going to do?
What exactly are junctions and how do you create them?
Does it also work with non-Steam programs (it says on Steam Mover website that it does, but I meant junctions generally)?

You could set up a symbolic link to another folder on another drive.
To an application, it will ultimately have the same path as a folder on C:

Oh so they basically are links like shortcuts? I thought that the main application would be moved to (example an SSD) to make it run faster.
Would that work with Junction Points? Putting it on an SSD to use the SSDs speed to run that app faster without reinstalling it on the SSD?
Haha

Basically, Steammover moves the whole folder to your desired location and then leaves "a shortcut" that redirects other programs to the new folder. So if your game is on E:, the game would be moved to C: (to use the speed of your SSD) and there'd be a "shortcut" on E: that tells other programs where to get the files. Works great, I've used it a couple of times.
