1055T Unable to get above 233MHz.. Help - Page 3

the 1055 is multi(upwards) locked to x14 right?
so fsb is the only way to OC it,same as your chip and same as mine.
can you post your settings so the OP can try them?

Yeah but if you get a per example 13.5 multiplier u can get more fsb and get more frecuency under NB..

yup..just a sec

Voltajes are:

For ram 1.6
For Nb 1.3
For cpu 1.44/1.47

3.8 is pretty weak though,i'd expect that from a phenom i or a c2 chip not what pretty much everyone gets now,
the OP's temps dont seem too high so the must be more (fsb+cpu-nb) mileage to be gained!
though a hefty cpu-nb and average cpu OC is a good tradeoff if higher cpu OC's arent possible.

13.5 * 270 is 3.6 XD like you can see it gives you more FSB and more nB

darthmalak:excellent timing! i just reinstalled gta4 today and cant remember the mods for better textures etc, assuming you use them, where did you find them?
could you not get dual channel to work @ 3ghz cpu-nb?
i see what your saying, but i just set 280x15(4.18 ghz) mainly coz it wont boot any higher than 280,whatever voltages or temps!
and set 2200 on cpu-nb which when the fsb is included, gives 37xx mhz cpu-nb
that was with a ddr2 setup though so obviously it could be a different strain on the IMC hence i didnt mention it.

Good luck HP

i think your ram can go higher, your nearing the 800 stock rating and i'd be surprised if you couldnt get another 40 mhz on top of that (1680).
You are edging towards 4ghz cpu though, which is an achievement

when you say crashes your computer, was it bluescreen or black?
increasing the mobo nb volts a touch might help stabilise.
what voltages are you at now? cpu/cpu-nb/mobo nb/ram
Blue screen crash....
Voltages:
Vcore 1.45
NB 1.15
CPU NB 1.175
RAM 1.510

im sorry i dont follow, whats a cpu disipator?
thanks for the advice though,i will hunt the mods out!

HP,blue screen could mean not enough ram volts, can you find the error code?
blue screens leave a dump file(message about the root of the issue).
You can locate any dumps by doing a search for *.dmp.
you can read them in event viewer, and the long code sequence, does it start in 01,07 etc?
http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=35246
this might help in deciphering the problem, but i'd bet a pack of biltong its cpu-nb or ram instability due to voltages.
up your cpu-nb to 1.32
and your ram to 1.6
