Which graphics card for my system?

Thread Starter
so i have the system in my sig rig and had originally purchased a cheap HD4890 which failed so i sent it back for RMA and have something like £43 credit on my account which i'm going to put towards another card.

I'm looking to spend the £43 credit + my own cash upto about £110 on a card so have narrowed down a few in my budget although i am limited to one online store due to it being where i have my credit.

I won't be going over 1920 x 1080 in resolution most likely I'll be using a 22" monitor at 1680 x 1050.

MSI GeForce GTX 460 OC - £109.99

Gigabyte ATI Radeon HD 6770 OC - £107.99

MSI ATI Radeon HD 6770 - £83.99

Gainward GeForce GTX 460 768MB - £95.99

Go with the Gainward 460. Great looking, I've heard great things about the brand and the 460 is a powerful mid-range card. It's also faster than the 6770.

It's a nice choice to go for GTX460 1G, but what I wanna recommend is that better not to buy the MSI one, their cards now have a lot of quality problems, many people get some cards that broken even they are all brand new ones.

ASUS and GIGABYTE would be better, but ASUS has the problem of RMA, such as cannot get the card returned that is able to run the games, etc.

Go with the 1Gb GTX 460. It's faster then a 6770 (5770 re-badge), and they overclock very well Sure it has a dorky looking cooler, but those are fairly easy to get around aftermarket-wise. If you don't generally jack up the settings (especially AA), the 768Mb on the Gainward would suffice for sub-1080p.

Gone with the MSI GTX 460 OC 1gb. Sure the cooler looks awful but (at least i hope) i can easily get an after market cooler if this one on the card doesn't do as good a job as i'd like.
