first build - first mod

Thread Starter
K so I want to make my first build. Before buying the parts I want to mod the case. I have all the money, now I need to buy.

WINDOW: I'm going to use a haf 912. I watched videos on cutting windows, so I know how to do that.

I want to have the window clear with a piece of coloured acrylic inside. How would I join both pieces?

CASE: For the case I want to etch it to continue the design on the window. I can't decide between acid or just etching it with a dremel:S

I'm kind of leaning towards the acid because I'm not sure me etching it would look that good. Would the case be strong enough afterwards though?

DREMEL: Which dremel should I use. At homedepot there are three dremel kits under $100. The rotary, trio tool and multimax. On videos people use the rotary tool to cut the windows, but the trio tool looks like it would be a cleaner cut. I don't even know what mulimax is used for

For the window, use this. I've use for all sorts of modding and its great:

For the other questions I cant help you. Its not my field of expertise, sorry. Good luck with the project. Hope it all works out.

For "etching", I'd go with a dremel. Just make sure you get some thicker acrylic and just don't etch too deep. Even a little bit of depth will stand out.

For the dremel - I'm not sure. I found one in my sister's basement after her and her boyfriend broke up and we were packing her stuff xD WIN
