I'm aware. Not my biggest concern just yet.

Anyway, HDD in other build; ubuntu works flawlessly. Attempted to reinstall Windows on its partition, but it crashed with

'Windows cannot install required files. The file may be corrupt or missing. Make sure all files required for installation are available, and restart the installation. Error code: 0x80070017'

Used gparted to wipe the partition, and got the same error. This is Windows 7 64 bit for what it's worth. What could be causing this, now?

Well, more importantly.. what are some telltale signs of a fried processor? The processor is the only thing I am not sure of, and it'd be kind of a hassle to switch it out.
