Load = Voltage Drop? - Page 2

That amount of drop is normal from mine and i'm sure many others experiences even with llc set to what you like. I have a 0.09v drop on my old p5k this moment, you just have to increase what you set in the bios as the increase in actual voltage will likely still scale linearly with what's set just be aware of the spike and don't go too close to the recommended limits of voltage for your cpu.

thats what im thinking, too. It doesnt seem to make much, if any, difference.

No, its set to high performance with min & max CPU state @ 100%.

Well it's just how the electronics work the spike in voltage can't be avoided so the motherboard manufacturers under the cpu manufacturers recommendation's have to account for it to stop cpu's being killed prematurely, as we all know there is generally some headroom for a slight voltage drop or speed increase for a stock cpu.

Yah, I'm actually pretty schooled on how cpu's and motherboards work, but I'm also pretty sure that cpu's weren't designed to intentionally have Vdroop.

But you are correct that the motherboard manufacturers introduced Vdroop control/LLC.
