Performance increase?

So I just purchased a evga gtx 580. It has not arrived yet but I was wandering if it is going to be a big improvement over my 5770 crossfire or a small increase in performance? Also will my processor bottleneck to bad?

Large increase - your processor should be fine, of course the higher the clock the better

CF 5770's = ~ 5870, the 580 should be between 30 - 60% faster depending on the game and resolution.

Of course it will be a verrrrrrry huge improvement. You can think it that way, we crossfire the card absolutely cannot get the formula as 1+1=2, we can always know that it's 1+1<2, so if you compare the benchmark score you can find that even you add the scores of two 5770s, it still cannot touch the bottom of 580, so it's a really nice choice that you made, congratulations and just have fun.

There's a chance it will bottleneck, I used to have the 1100t @ 4.0 gHz which was bottlenecking my gtx 460 by 10 frames before I got a i5 2500k.

If talking about motherboard, I do like this one
GIGABYTE X58 OC
the materials it used seems so great, such as all driver mosfets and Low temp single chokes etc...
and the onboard BIOS tweaking button is a really creative design.
