Default Asrock N68-S UCC AMD Athlon II x2 250 OC problems

Thread Starter
Here recently every time I overclock my CPU from stock 3.0GHz to 3.5GHz on air cooling I have been getting BSOD. The error is so fast that it reboots and I do not get to see the error code. I am using the correct vCore settings and everything. The overclock was stable until about a week ago. I have had this board for about 3 months. My entire system was idle for 2 months (Which means it was turned off for the entire 2 months.)

My RAM passed the memtest program. several times. Any help please.

The overclocking site will not allow me to register when i enter correct information.

Ok, well it sounds like you need a little more vcore juice. Try stress testing with Prime95. Download it and install then run the program, make sure you have the maximum number of cores in the #of threads and then do a blend test. If it passes for 1hour let it run for 3 then 6 then 12 if no errors come up by then you should be fine. It sounds like you need more vcore, there is a bsod viewer, I have never used it but it is out there in another thread I was reading the other day, also has what you need to do somewhere with each code to fix it.

Edit: make sure you watch your temps. Look up the max for your chip and don't go over!!!!
