Fixing Old World Blues completion crash (For Hardcore Players)

I play the game on Hardcore because it gives an added challenge to it. Fallout is by far my favorite series when it comes to gaming and I get locked into the game when I start playing, so the hardcore mode is a nice addition to the game, it gives you a sense of actually being in a wasteland (Although there are mods out there that do a much better job at this, I have not installed any yet for my FONV).

So, this is without any mods or anything special to get the game running. It seems to crash when completing OWB, this was VERY annoying until I read someone others playing on hardcore had the same issue. Simply turning it off fixed this error.

I know it isn't caused by mods because I do not have any installed, if anyone not playing on hardcore has the same issue with completing the game, I can not help you as with it turned on it worked just fine for me. I do hope this helps others who are experiencing this though.

After the slideshows start in the video, please turn it off as it contains spoilers, unless you want to know what happened through "my" game as everyone will have a different ending.

Don't mean to double post but I fixed the title... I'm retarded apparently and was calling it "Old War Blues". Please disregard my stupidity.

I'm still trying to play it more than 30 minutes without crashing :|

Whoever the hell test these games should be fired.

Do you have any mods installed? Have you ran the "Verify integity of game cache" through steam? Are you on the latest drivers for your GPU? If No/Yes/Yes then I'm sorry but I can't help, unfortunately the fallout series is known for massive bugs and crashing, even the originals.

Ah that sucks, I wish there was something I could do about it. The DLC really is awesome, I would suggest just modding the hell out of it. If its going to crash anyway, why not pump it full of content? Thats how I treated FO3 anyway
