How about a link to a guide on how to set up raid 0 and would it make sense for what I am trying to do? I have my SSD for OS and I usually like to have 2 1TB drives for other files. movies, music, pictures whatever.. Then I will use the other to back that drive up. I think I need to make a change. I noticed when I need to get to a file and its on one of my 1TB drives I have now the computer has to lag to let the drive do its things which in some cases drives me crazy because I am so spoiled by the SSD. Now I know you could say get another SSD but that out of the budget for now since I am doing an all new build. So I really could lose one backup drive and run 2 1 TB in raid 0 for speed... Would that make since ...?
What you say you're doing with backups would be RAID 1, which just mirrors everything to the second drive so you have two identical drives if one fails.
