Based on my personal experience (2x WD 1TB Blacks) and those benchmarks, it's safe to say WD Blacks are not as snappy as they appear to be on paper.

Off topic: now that Seagate has Samsung, I expect their next gen. drives to be just as good as or better than the F3s.
I own and use the F3s and WD Blacks. Hitachi rules the roost now. I still never got around to buying Seagates after that firmware fiasco a couple years back.
*edit* I purchase HDDs based on price at the time of purchase and only when they're on sale on Newegg. Catch these drives on a 24hr sale or on a shell shocker deal and you save anywhere from 30%-50% off the original list price. I don't care for brands, they're all the same to me.
