Thread Starter
So I have an 80GB Intel X25-M and it has Windows 7 64 bit on it and I only have 26.7 GB's on it, are there any programs or tips to maximize drive space?

Well, one I know that helps a lot (and freed up some space) is moving your temporary internet folder to your HDD, instead of the default on your SSD.

Here's some simple tuts on some great W7 tweaks for SSD: http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=82516

I have the same SSD as the poster above me(two above that is), and I am running XP PRO on the SSD. I have a shaved down version (only english- all the help videos deleted- etc etc.) which takes up just over a gig. I tried running no page file and having it on other drives , but I get the best performance running it on the SSD, so I just made it small (500 megs) so my total install takes up around 2 gigs.Slowing down your SSD by not using it to page might save some wear, but whats the point of having an SSD if you dont use it? I have the restore files set to save onto my spinner, where I also have Win7 Ultimate installed- which takes up somethng like 20 gigs. I have about 6 or 8 games currently on my SSD. I had gotten into the habit of doing "full" installs of all games in the past few years since hard drives have gotten so huge, but now I am going back to limted (no intro video- etc) installs for the games I want on the SSD.

Edit to add- I knew there was another big thing I moved to the spinner- the Temp internet file- saw that in the post above me as soon as I posted this. LOL

another tip thread there. Big one, is drop your pagefile. I believe default is 1.5 times your RAM. Drop it to .5x your RAM. i DOUBT you'll need the extra RAM space (which is what pagefile is, RAM on your SSD)
