Bought a HAF 912 today

Picked one of these up at my local Fry's for $55 and purchased an additional 200mm CM Megaflow fan for the front intake. I then took a spare 120mm and added them to the included two 120mms that came with the HAF for a total of four fans (2 on top, 1 rear, 1 front). All I can really say is, I wish I had purchased this sooner! Upgrading from my old case, a Thermaltake WingRS 201, it is a night and day difference.

Granted my Thermaltake case was considered a budget case at the time as well, but nothing fit properly, was cramped, limited fan slots, and had no cable management options. I didn't do proper research on my computer when I built it (first build) so I ended up with a pretty lousy chassis and it's always frustrated me to this day. Now that I've made the switch, the Thermaltake is literally waiting outside right now for the garbage pick up.

With the new case, my pc seems to be quieter somehow (thicker panels?), plus my CPU temperatures have dropped due to the increased airflow and being able to tuck most of my cables away. Love the customization/expansion options in this case, e.g. the removable 2.5'' bay, ample 3.5'' bays, removable HDD cage, rubber feet for the PSU. I'm sure a lot of this is standard fare these days but when you have a case with none of these, you are seriously blown away at the change.

I don't have any questions or any problems, I was just so happy with how good the case is for being as inexpensive as it is that I wanted to post my impressions. I knew the case was praised as one of the best budget cases, but WOW!

Note: My only wish was that the interior was black. But for the price, can't really argue!

I built some pcs with the HAF 912 before. It is a really good mid tower case for the price with cable management. Some of my friends actually thought the case was big, haha.

Good to see that you are happy with your case!
