In all reality, it's not that expensive. If you have some spare gear laying around (or are willing to do it with your 24/7 system, like me) you can get into the hobby for as low as ~$125, even lower if you look hard.

This price will include CPU pot, insulation, and the first round of dry ice.

After that you upgrade just as you do regular components. For example, I'm looking around for a new CPU pot. I'll probably be selling mine for ~$130 once Vince (Kingpin) starts selling the Gemini again.

Total cost/value for all of my subzero gear (managed to get my CPU pot for free, but I'll post a value):

CPU Pot: $130
GPU Pot: $225
Memory pot: $40
Thermometer: $25
Digital Multimeter: $15
LN2 Dewar: $400
Insulation: $30

So about $865 for a full LN2 setup. For dice, you don't need the dewar so $465 for a dice setup with extras, $425 for CPU + GPU setup (no mem pot)... You can spend as little as you want, or up into the thousands for all the goods. It's like any other hobby in that there are varying levels.

Do you have the 5.0 with the black anodized top? It will leak acetone. Though, you can seal it

Aquarium silicone is best for it.

Oh good.

LOL, the acetone leaking really sucks. You can seal it though, no problem. But, since you're going to LN2 you don't really need to
