2500k fails prime95 on one core on stock settings - Page 2

Before doing that, make sure your memory is not faulty. Had a same problem and one of my sticks was bad, test one stick with prime blend gives you a error pretty fast.

^I wanted to say this as well. Prime95 blend will fail if you have and bad ram sticks.

Agreed, with the above 2 posts!
Especially since it fails in the first 1024k test.
That tells me that there is a very good chance, there is something wrong, thats memory related.

Edit:
Plus, if you do go through with a RMA with Intel, and there's nothing wrong with your cpu, they will send you back your original cpu, on your dime. Money wasted!
