Finally settled on a tv - one ?

Hey, after a few weeks of looking around for tvs I've finally settled on

- $780 + free shipping. I've decided to go with a 4 year Squaretrade warranty for $120 which brings my total to about $300 more than I wanted to spend but I figured that this is a pretty big investment so I might as well not get cheap on myself - I also sold my laptop to make up the difference.

So onto the question - on the TC-P46S30 model it shows a Motion Picture Resolution of 900 lines - what does that mean? Is it only 19somethingx900? And if so - when I plug my pc into it, will it look different than a native 1080 resolution?

I was wondering the same thing because I am looking at the same TV, and I found this post on hardforum. Pretty much it has to do with motion interpolation between the frames and is different than the resolution.

Also, from what I've read the panel on the

is superior to the one on the S30 by a decent amount and is probably worth the extra money if you have room in your budget.

Ehh - i'm not interested in 3d at all. I finally saw my first 3d movie in the theater and tbh I wasn't impressed at all - especially when I've looked at 3d tvs in the store. They just seem kind of meh.

you know 3DTVs aren't just exclusively for 3D

Yeah... but extremely illogical to pay extra specifically for a feature I would ignore.
