Hyper 212+ sizing issue

Thanks for checking this out guys. So my current rig in progress (and sig rig) has a Hyper 212+ on a crosshair V. With my Ripjaws X fins sticking up so high, I don't think i'm going to be able to get the fan on my hyper 212+ to face up and out the exhaust on the element g. Also, i think the fins stop me from having a push to a back exhaust. So my question is, would a hyper 212+ be ok with only a pull fan facing the back exhaust on the case, or should i try to find a different cooler? Thanks again for any help guys

Using a single fan pulling should work fine, as long as you run it at a decent speed. If your temperatures aren't as low as you'd like, one of Corsair's H-series coolers seems like a good second option.

you have a powerful cpu with a high tpd. you will definetly need a push/pull config.

the thing is, if the cm 212 gives you problems, other high efficiency air coolers might do the same.

water cooler maybe? i guess going for a low profile RAM is out of the question?

I have pretty tall RAM as well, Ripjaws-X..

with the clip on fan mounts, i have my fans offset anyways to alleviate the hot air spot at the center of the heatsink. so my forward facing fan sets atop the ripjaws, and the rear fan sits a little bit lower. Works better than symmetrical fans in practice.

Also, could I have the fan push towards the front of the case. t-ramp, I was definitely considering the h-series as a possible alternative. I hear good things about them

Yeah, sure. Of course, you'd want the rear fan as an intake as well if you did so. As long as you keep the air moving, there's nothing wrong with front-to-back airflow.

However, like Xinoxide said, you might just be able to clip the fan on over the top of the RAM.
