This is a poll to gauge the general consensus of the OCN community...

If this is against the ToS/OCN rules please notify immediately and remove...

I do not want long winded posts, merely a yes/no/undecided in the poll is fine, please pass this on as I would like this to be as largely sampled as possible.

Sincerely,

Ishi

No, i dont believe they are, they more go for whoever has the best bang for the buck, that just happens to be AMD and ATI Most of the Time. He often comments on the 570 and 580's performance in SLI, but then goes on to explain that very close performance can be had with 2 6970s for hundreds of dollars less, and therefore says that it is unreasonable to spend so much when a cheaper equal alternative is around. Which i agree with.

I would say now have you seen what Kyle Bennett runs in his machine??

SLI GTX 580's....

They are out to show what makes the most sense for the average user. Most or if not all of us are not in that boat..

But in that regard, before they even start to review said products, their mind is already made up, they go for perf/$ which is the general consensus in regards to AMD/ATI cards.

In my view, and the reason for this thread is that they are entering into reviews of products with pre-conceived notions, therefore, bias.

They never completely out Nvidia or Intel, sometiems they "Win" in his benchmarks but he always gives and honorable mention to AMD/ATI for their close performance for muhc cheaper price.

In the end the choice of Nvidia/Ati comes from the person themselves anyway. I don't think they are biased, but just like to inform people that Ati has a better performance/cost ratio. And that if you want the maximum performance you will need to pay for it, otherwise ati has a cheaper solution which comes close performance wise.

more then reasonable

HardOCP are almost the only one testing true multiple screen gaming set-ups, like 3X24'' resolution, while almost all the other sites are testing 580 and 6970 at 1980X1200. Sigh

They gave a 'Gold Award' to the MSI Lightning 580 3Gb in SLI, while you can get 3X 6970, much much faster, for the same price. LOL.

So. They are not AMD/ATi biased.

All valid points..I went with UNDECIDED because both sides can be clearly argued.
But if it were strictly yes or no I would lean to NO because of the damage that this would do to there overall credibility as a company.
(Unless someone thinks they are being paid to be bias--which im thinking, not.) Thank You.c.

Thanks for your input mate.

I dont think a simple opinion poll will damage their credibility terribly, im just curious mainly due to some things that i have observed, the fact they posted a 6990+6970 (tri-fire) vs Tri-SLI 580's and ATI won.
After an uproar from the community, the test was run again on a different CPU and the results were drastically different, in favour of the 580's, as they were CPU bottlenecked...

A CPU bottleneck should very well show up during testing, and it would be at this point that the testbench should be re-configured and start again.

Instead, they posted the full review, in favour of ATI...

Some would cry "Rookie Mistake", maybe, but yeah, it causes questions on my end...

Nope, don't think so. Why do you wanna know whether or not people think H|OCP are biased anyway?
