These benches were done at 2560x1600 and they still trade blows within the 460's playable settings (the 1GB framebuffer holds them back from higher levels of AA at that res).

460 SLI generally edges a single 580 at lower resses, and 460s factory-clocked at 560 speeds would be quite a bit faster

There's evidence everywhere too, I'm just too lazy to link it right now, haha.
If these cards don't do what everyone is saying they'll do then I'll end up with two 460s that don't deliver and my brother will get my Two 560s?

He will be playing modern games like Crysis 2 as well and I'm ordering off newegg by 10:00P.M. Central Time so as much help as I can get would be appreciated

Ok...I'll take the plunge but now I have another question? Which one should I get?
I've been looking at a GTX 465 and tutorials on how to unlock them, This is way cheaper than going with a GTX 570 if I can pull this off... LINK

Or I could go with this GTX460 and save like forty dollars: LINK

The GTX 570 Im currently comparing prices with: LINK

I'd personally get none of those, or do the unlock setup, or wait for 460's to go on sale and then also catch a rebate.

If you're really contemplating a 570, consider the top end 560 TI's that offer near 570 performance for $100 less.

A single 570 is pretty damn good, It will MAX , I mean MAX BC2 1080p...
Down the road when he wants moar ( lets be honest, eventually we all want more ) , SLI 570s is just pure pwn... I got a EVGA Superclock for 253$ After Rebate ( 275$ cash ), at microcenter.. You can pick them up for 260 used in the OCN marketplace.... Dont think about right now ( I mean do ) but think about down the road

The big thing about this is by the time he'd need another 570, it's likely a 1GB framebuffer will be insufficient at high resolutions, so, it's best to plan ahead and at least get 1.5gb or higher versions.

The 465's you're thinking about are the Black PCB with 10 memory Chips. They are really 470's just taken down a notch, but you can unlock them to 470 performance. Not the easiest to find, so unless you know it is or the price is in your range.

I can max most games out @ 1680x1050, and i don't overclock them all the time. Stock they are powerful enough to handle most games, but you get that option if you need it.

If you never plan on doing watercooling on the cards, look for a non-reference version. They tend to overclock higher and have better/more VRM's, have better cooling. Don't need much cooling at stock. Like the MSI Hawk/hawk Talon. I think the Cyclone is a reference. EVGA, Palit, Gigabyte Not a fan of ASUS Cards, love their Motherboards though.

Your awesome

My brother will be playing at 1920x1080 Resolution and the 10 Memory Module unit is "Here" at least that's what I read in another post somewhere. But yeah Im probably going with a GTX570 after all because I've never flashed video bios before and I don't want to take a risk on my brothers system.

However if it was mine you know I would try it
