Registry and changing drive letters

My storage drives aren't assigned to letters D: and E:, and I'm looking forward to changing them. Although I have some programs installed on my second drive, would it mess registry up if I assigned new letters to disks.

it shouldn't
do it through the CMD and you should be good
worst comes to worst, you can change them back
