[Guru3D] Crysis 2 DX11 + HI-Res Benched - Page 2

Ummm correct me if I am wrong, but isn't the 6770 supposed to be a 5770 rebrand? Why are they such different performers? Or maybe it is the 6790 which makes sense... And why no 460?!

Props to the awesome team at Guru3D for benching atleast somewhat relevant cards, setups and resolutions.
That half-assed excuse of a review that TomsHardware did on Cry2 DX11 told me absolutely nothing.

Well they have a 6850 and 6870 there...460 sits somewhere between those.

I think AMD improved tessellation performance for 6k series. Crysis 2 is very tessellation heavy that's why u see the nice performance difference.

as for showing fps in-game, i think there's a console command for that.
r_displayInfo = 1

type that into c2's console.

You only need a CPU that wont bottleneck your GPU(s), once you pass that threshold all CPU's will give roughly the same FPS as with higher resolutions you become GPU limited.

The biggest issue with the DX11 patch is that you appear to lose vsync triple buffering in DX11 mode.

I've been playing a bunch of different games lately after installing them all on my new ssd and its amazing to me just how much better crysis 2 looks than all of them now. With all of the patches installed and running at max settings, crysis 2 is simply the best looking title ever made for the pc so far. I can't think of a single game that looks better than this...
