EVGA GTX 570 fan control

Thread Starter
I havent had an nvidia card since the 6600gt days so I'm a bit out of the loop. I recently got myself an EVGA GTX 570 and was wondering what you guys use to adjust your fan settings. I was surprised the nvidia control panel doesn't have any fan control features? Unless I'm missing something..

I installed MSI Afterburner but I'd prefer not to have another program running unless I don't have to. Whats the deal with the nvidia system tools? Anyone use it?

The ESA with system tools is OK. I've used it for a while with pretty decent sucess. It will let you set custom fan curves and such along with controling clocks. It will load with windows in the background, no seperate toolbar program.

I use MSI afterburner, the program itself is pretty light and shouldn't affect the performance if your rig. I've got my fan curve set like this:

30 degrees - 10%
50 degrees - 40%
60 degrees - 50%
70 degrees - 70%
80 degrees - 80%
90 degrees - 100%

I haven't seen temperatures above 60 degrees yet.
